Reply:Steel: Eastside Steel on Powell just east of 205; Clackamas Steel on Evelyn off 212 just east of 205 for salvage\used and great attitude---sometimes.Qwimby's web site http://www.weldsafe.com/ beats their store front on price for MIG wire by a bunch. Brown truck drops it in two days.PCC Rockcreek has classes, haven't been in a while.If'n you like Red Equipment travel to Industrial Source on 25th SE in Salem, they don't charge list like the Portland store.Tom

Reply:The Steel Yard on Columbia Blvd. is another. try "Steel"  "Portland, Oregon" at   http://www.dexonline.com/displayhome.ds .There's a bunch of places, maybe a bit closer to you. My favorite is Clackamas, they are currently at 30 cents a pound for "pre-rusted".http://www.oregonwireproducts.com/ has been helpful for rebar bending, if $50 minimum isn't a killer for you.Most anyplace has fabric bandaids...Tom
