Hello all....What is the difference between a "wire feeder," like a LN-25 and a MIG welder? Can you use gas (MIG) with a wire feeder? Thanks guys...MetalBob
Reply:some larger power sources do not have built in systems for feeding wire, so a dedicated wire feeder is needed, and typically mounted on top of the welding power source.yes most wire feeders are ready for use with gas. lincolns site states that the ln-25 doesnt come with the gas solenoid, but its made for MIG and fluxcore so add a solenoid and it should be ready. http://www.mylincolnelectric.com/Cat...heet.asp?p=420
