Reply:Is this the kind of furnace that will heat the whole house and takes 9 foot logs at once? They are big in upstate New Hampsire......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Thats the idea Zap but only up to 48" logs, heaes a link http://www.profab.org/Products/Empyre.aspx Only difference is the new models are all 304stainless

Reply:On the web site, it states they are built from ALL 304 SS. Is this an older unit? Is it possible it's 304 and 409? Both of the metals can withstand high temps. My woodstove made out of mild steel gets cranked up on a daily basis to between 400 and 500 degrees. I like my house toasty! I wouldn't worry about it as long as it's a good price. If you want a good opinion, why not call the manufacturer? How much are those units normally? I see quite a few people around this area using them. They must work decently.
