Need Gas Diffuser I think

Ok, got the nozzle off and the tip off and got the wire threaded throughl. Put the tip back on and started to put the nozzle back on and realized that the spring that is coiled around the diffuser was not allowing the nozzle tto go back. Stopped by my LWS and a guy there said the spring was bent to bad to get this one to go back. He was going to take the gas diffuser off and try to replace it and go from there. Problem was, we couldn't get the gas diffuser to loosen up. He put vise grips on it tried again, till he twisted it in half. The diffuser had left hand threads and who was to know that. So now Im needing gas diffuser with left hand threads to get my welder up and going. It is a Chicago Electric 90 amp Flux Core Mig Welder.  The guy at the LWS said the gun was a benzil gun. He said the Benzil parts fit it but he did not have one small enough. Can anyone help me out here? ThanksWhitey

Reply:I find it hard to believe that a Binzel gun came on a Chicago Electric mig welder. Binzels are a top line European gun and cost about $200.00 or so Canadian ( not sure On the US price   ). I purchased one just last Janurary for $212.75 for my miller. It is an awsowe gun and I wouldn't want anything else now. The Binzel parts might fit your gun but you might want to make sure first before buying one. Also my diffuser is right hand thread and made from stainlees steel.I could be way off here but wanted to post so you didn't end up ordering something that wont work for you. Reply:yes. He didn't say it was a benzil gun, but said it took benzil parts. It is also left handed threads. As it is, I have the gun with the wire sticking out, with a small spring around that and the male threads ready to receive a female diffuser with Left hand threads. Anybody know where to get it?
