Greetings,I have a 460 volt Syncrowave 180 and want to use it on 220/230 volts. Is there a kit or simple method to convert this? This is for a small shop and I don't want to buy a transformer. Thanks for your help in advance.Geebee
Reply:You've checked the owner's manual? My Thermal arc power supply has internal connections that can be configured to allow operation on various voltages, and 3 phase or single phase.
Reply:snip "You've checked the owner's manual?"There are two user's manuals; one for 460 and one for 230. Neither show how to convert from one to the other.I have left a message for Miller tech support and hope to hear from them soon.
Reply:I don't much see there being an easy way. Why would they make two voltage ranges if you could convert one to the other.SA200,Ranger8,Trailblazer251NT,MM250,Dayton225AC,T D-XL75,SpoolMate3545SGA100C,HF-15-1 RFCS-14 When I stick it, it stays stuck!

Reply:Miller called back and indeed this is a voltage specific unit so I am stuck now. Guess I'll list it in the for sale section. First $1000 gets it.Thanks for the help. |
