I just boutht a 140 cubic ft bottle of 72/25 argon mix today for $230.00 .Just curious how this cost compares with cost in other states.
Reply:If that's for a new bottle, the gas fill, the tax and the haz mat fee, that sounds about right.I bought a used 125 cuft argon mix bottle for $120 with some gas still in it and the new 80 cuft argon mix bottle I got recently was about $160 for the empty bottle. I saw a 20 lb CO2 bottle at the welding shop yesterday, I think the price tag said $165. I remember my 300 cuft argon bottle was about $400 for a new bottle, the gas, tax and haz mat fee. This is all in southern California.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
Reply:The price was for the new bottle filled with gas. I was just wondering if there was a regional difference in the price. Your price makes me think the prices will be about the same, even though I don't know where you are from. I do think you are from a different region because I am from the sand hills of South Carolina, but there are no deserts around here. There might be if we don't get some rain soon
Reply:Ooops - missed the part about Southern California.
Reply:4 of my 5 were bought used so no help here. My one new bottle is an 80 that I gave 150 for with a first fill thrown in.Anything worth doing is worth doing RIGHT |
