I'm in the auto body shop game and I saw a post on here where a guy had repaired a trailer for a 18 wheeler, and it was made of aluminum. It was tipped over and he replaced some panels on it, I think the guy was from Fort Worth, TX. Is there money in that industry? Or is it like the regular paint and body industry, where you have to buy thousands of dollars of tools and equipment and some weeks you barely break even then other weeks you can't keep up and have to deal with people and insurance companies constantly trying to screw you?
Reply:There is very good money in it if your are in the right area.I am a licensed appraiser and know most isurance guys could'nt tell a Maxi-can from a Mexican .I know of very few shops that handle big stuff.the ones that do make tons of money. There is alot of overhead and you need a huge shop to do nice work .but there is good money in it. |
