I've seen this listed at welding supply web sites as an accessory does anyone use this stuff and is it recommended?Thank you
Reply:You use Nozzle Dip to dip your nachos in while your welding should you need a light snack. It's actually used to dip your nozzle in, it helps prevent spatter from building up in your nozzle and restricting the flow of the shielding gas.
Reply:Thank you sir, I like the Nacho version better but ok..
Reply:Dipping Nachos.... Thats a new one. I was told its to butter bread for grill cheese. You lay them on the plate while you weld and the heat cooks them. When your done welding its grill cheese time!Patriot Performance AutoLincoln Power Mig 255CLincoln AC-225 StickVictor Journeyman O/AQuincy QT-5 Compressor
Reply:Its good stuff. I use it all the time for mig welding. CLEAN your nozzle, weld with it till its hot, then dip it in the stuff. Pull it out and let it drip. Next time you have to clean the nozzle, it will be easy as pie.If the nozzle isn't hot enough and the stuff sticks inside, just pull the trigger, the gas will blow it out. Reply:I use it all the time.it's good stuff.I also spray antispatter on my nozzle when I don't have any dip that works good tooIf it's too . get an office jobLincoln wp225g7 Lincoln 250 idealarcFrankenstein O/A set-up Weld-tech tig set-upLincoln sp 175 plus profax arc gouger
Reply:Would it be benificial to a flux core wire set up for splatter control and build up on the nozzle.
Reply:It's good for any short-circuiting wire-feed process. Can be used in spray transfer too but not needed as much. I prefer anti-spatter spray to the dip, but they do the same thing. I have applied it to the welding jig to keep spatter from sticking to the jig too.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
Reply:Its good stuff and as David said it lasts for yearsA good guess is better than a bad measurement
Reply:I use it on mine when I am running flux core, but I am not using a flux core gun, but a gmaw gun with a cut off gas nozzle. Helps keep the stickies off of the gas whatchamacallit, lol, just went brain dead on that. The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist. |
