ok need one more question answered if possible. I have decided on 2 mig welders so please give me advice on which would be best for me.hobby welder only. Hobart handler 187 or the Lincoln 180Tthanks for your help.
Reply:I have not welded any with the Lincoln but I have done a considerable amount of welding with the HH 187 the Hobart HH 187 is a great welder. If you do a search on both you should get a lot of feedback. I do know that Dan has welded with both of them and from what I understand he prefers the HH 187.
Reply:I'm not going to get an argument started over which is better, and if anyone claims one is better than the other that will happen. My advice is decide which one you like best. I would recommend spending the extra bucks for a machine with continuous voltage over a tapped one. Cures the not quite enough/little too much problem the tapped ones have. Personally I buy red or blue because I know they are going to do what I want them to do.The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.
