it's called "speed feed". it's used in mig welders before the wire feeds into the wand. it's basicly a foam thing that wraps around the wire. i believe you spray the stuff on it to clean the wire. new to me but my boss has it on the unit at work. where can i get this stuff ??thanks in advance
Reply:Your Local Welding Supply should have wipers and solvent. The ones I use are felt with a metal clip to hold it in place. Add some cleaning solvent every now and then and you're golden. They may call it lubricant.City of L.A. Structural; Manual & Semi-Automatic;"Surely there is a mine for silver, and a place where gold is refined. Reply:I have used the weldaid stuff. There are two of those sponges. One for lube and one for cleaning. One is red the other is black. You can use them in tandem.HTP America sell the also.
Reply:Don't waste your money.....solid wire has stuff on it to aid it in passing thru the liner....the wipers are good for open feeders like the miller 22a etc......using the pads is like oil additives you are messing with a perfectly good recipe
