Can anyone tell me if this regulator would help me with regulating gas for mig welding.name of regulator---western RP preset c02 regulator with 75# spring to 125#spring from welding supply.comthanks for your help
Reply:You dont want to use that kind of regulator for shielding gas. That is a regulator to use for air equipment. I have one on a 20# bottle that I keep on my welding truck to use with air tools, for spray painting, airing up tires and compressed air spraying to clean things. My hay baling buddy keeps one on hand to air up tires and to use with his impact wrenches. I use one with a 150# spring in it but have other springs I can change to for other things. But its too much pressure for shielding gas use. Sorry, you need a low pressure reg. or a flow meter.
Reply:Can you please explain the difference in the flow meter & the low pressure regulator.I already have the low pressure regulator.Would the flow meter help me in gas pressure for sheilding gas welding or mig welding.thanks for your help.Last edited by wheelerbuffy; 05-09-2008 at 11:40 PM.
