large bottle

I have the large bottle of 75/25 argon mix how long can i expect this bottle to last with hobby welding on weekends.I weighed  this bottle & it weighs 185# so its heavy.  Thanks for your help
Reply:Any idea how large "large" is? My 282cf bottle probably weighs less than 185lbs. but I never tossed it on a scale. Lets assume its a 282cf bottle and not a larger one. If you run 20 CFH on your reg you should get 14 hrs of weld time ball park if there's no leaks. if you run at say 15CFH you''d get closer to say 19hrs.The easiest way to know the size of the tank is to look at your fill slip and see what they list it at. Reply:The cylinder should be marked XXX CU FT. Divide the cu ft by your flow rate and then figure that as your max weld time. It will be less as you just can't get it all out of the thing.The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.
