I just wondering if there good products? When i always see there name i always see Century/Lincoln. Does lincoln make them? Century has a good warrenty so they must be pretty good. It seems like they are?
Reply:probably the same ones that make the HF ****DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
Reply:Lincoln bought Century in 2003, so any Century Welder built after that is essentially a Lincoln.
Reply:Other than the name on the side and 4 heat settings as opposed to two my Weldpak HD is identical to the Century that was on the shelf next to it. Probably made in the same factory over in Poland. The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.
Reply:Recently Century machines were made by Cebora in Italy and rebadged. After Lincoln bought them they were still selling their Rebadged Cebora machines. I think they originally made their own machines until they got fed up with all the regulations and starting to import them from italy. I was told a few years ago that they still owned their empty factory.Century also made/imported/sold the Solar machines and the Marquette machines. These two names were marketed more to the auto shops while Century was geared to the consumer market.Last edited by WelderDaddy; 08-08-2008 at 01:07 AM.
