Using flux core mig welding wire, which size would give better penetration .030 or .035?This would be on mild steel at 1/4 inch thickness. Thanks,Jack
Reply:What machine are running it on?The .035 would be able to carry more current, if your machine can back it up.Yup
Reply:The machine is a Century 200. I think max current is 160 amps.
Reply:the E71T.035 should fit the bill fine.. Usually its a little bit cheaper than the .030, and should flow nicely.. I have a chart at the office that is broken up into columns showing amperage, material thickenss, and wire size / suggested speed. I will post it if I can get it scanned in tomorrow..Carl
Reply:Thanks in advance for such a chart!By the way, I did not know they made E71T-1 in 0.030
Reply:Can someone tell me how to upload it? I will post those charts.. Thanks.Carl
Reply:I also found those charts on the back of 10lb boxes of Hobart wire. |
