WEC welding institute

Does anyone have any experience with WEC or any information about them.  My son graduates this year from high school and is now in his second year of a welding program. It is NYS BOCES program.We are looking for info. for him to further his education.Thanks
Reply:I don't know a thing about the WEC. (sounds like World Wrestling Council but with a E)Our shop up in NY works with the BOCES program. Many shops use that program as a stepping stone for hiring new welders. Reply:It is part of Westinghouse and is affiliated with Carolina Energy in Rockhill SC.  They train welders to work at energy facilities.
