Reply:Machinery's Handbook is a good start for general info on many materials (though often lacking in detail)The Casti books are EXCELLENT resources, though not cheap (see: http://www.casti.ca/books_ebooks/lite/RedBookLite.pdf ... it is the sample/preview, so isn't complete, but has what you are looking for) Many trade organizationsCopper.orgMatweb.com

Reply:For an Engineering class, you say... Is this in a traditional academic environment (bricks-and-mortar school facilities) or correspondence (mail order) school? If of the bricks-and-mortar variety I would go to the school library. If they are teaching engineering classes I would expect to find a full set of ASTM standards manuals. Ask the librarian for assistance in the reference section.Alternately for a small fee you can get standards manuals from http://webstore.ansi.org/Key in "copper alloys" in the search window. A general standards document that might be good to use is "Copper and copper-alloy cold-drawn rod and bar" GB/T 4423-2007 available for download for a paltry $16.00.-MondoMember, AWSLincoln ProMIG 140Lincoln AC TombstoneCraftsman Lathe 12 x 24 c1935Atlas MFC Horizontal MillCraftsman Commercial Lathe 12 x 36 c1970- - - I'll just keep on keepin' on.
Reply:Brent 5631,I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I doubt that you were given this assignment unprepared. If you can't find these resources on your own then you need to ask for your money back from the school. I would also suggest that no further help be given for this persons homework assignment.
