Hey there, new fella here. Ill be done my first year of school (What they call C level here in BC), and have absolutely no experience in metalwork besides that. I spent quiet a bit of time up north, Mostly AB but also BC and Sask, for the last two years. It was always busy, always had lots of opportunities even for a guy who didn't really have a trade. But now !! Things are changing. I can't believe the crude goes for 55$ a barrel, from a 147$ peak in July !!! Now that makes me kinda worried ... Is there anyone out there in Canada who sees jobs for a C level with CWB cert.. I mean real hard jobs with money for the sweat (Gotta miss the 100 hours a week, school is making me soft), Ahah ! Cause all those experienced guys getting laid off, I know they wanna work too, and I know they'll get them before me, well probably.I mean, it must be crazy out there .. nobody to buy houses, nobody to buy oil ! We are headin for another 1930's with people lining up for a potato ! Ill be don on Dec 12, get my papers within a week. I know Christmas is gonna be right at the door, but I'll skip it if I can find a job, cause right now, Im a bit worried.Oh and Btw, Im gonna do my CWB on coming thursday Dec 4th(All position SMAW) ... I see puddles when I close my eyes ,Ahahah ! I guess thats good !Cheers everyone !
