Argon prices

So i had to fill up my argon bottle yesterday,  my question is what does everyone pay?  My bottle is a Argon 160  and they chraged me 81.00 dollars it seemed a little much...OLLIE
Reply:Depends on where you got it.  I get mine at Airgas.  Last refill on a AR 300 tank (large tank) was $71.67.  Bought it back in May 08.
Reply:The current Argon refill price for my "K" size 250 cu. ft. cylinders at Praxair here in So. CA, out the door including haz. fees, is $83.  That's a bit less than I paid last spring. Reply:Maryland. Local hole-in-the-wall place. 80cf is $28.  Robert's Oxygen's Argon, I think, is in the $50 range for 80cf.

Reply:Today was maybe Christmas for me. PRAXAIR in Costa Mesa Ca. today, a 248cf bottle of argon was $54!!!!WOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!She said she has been looking at matching / competing with the competition. All I can say is, from $84 to 54 made me decide to go back in a half a week and show some love, and buy some consumables there.And then, after so much work...... you have it in your hand, and you look over to your side...... and the runner has run off. Leaving you holding the prize, wondering when the runner will return.

Reply:You can keep Praxair, I checked what we at work "were" paying, $140.00 for a 336cf. Thats bull****. I pay $34.00 from my supplier for my home shop for the same size. I called praxair, well they can match. I told them sorry, shouldn't have been raping us . I am pulling all of Praxair tanks. This had been going on for years. I can't stand a thief.Tim Beeker.
