Found bottle?

I found a Acetylene bottle on the side of the road the other day how can I find if it is a owner bottle or rented bottle? Thanks

Reply:If anyone can tell me the location I found it then they can have it back.HaHa Yes it has gas in it alittle more than 3/4 full it has or should I say had a cap on it there is some road rash it has a welding company name stamped on the neck I guess they will get it back after I finish with it. I just wish it was argon I need that more then acetylene we normally use propane to cut with.

Reply:I do not think the bottle is hurt it was at a intersection so it would have fell off at slow speeds and it is very heavy. The paint is just scuffed up no big makes on it from the fall.

Reply:The driver probably floored it when he saw that cylinder rolling down the highway behind him.  YIKES    How do you explain the missing cylinder?  This scenario in New Jersey would have caused a major HAZMAT or bomb-squad incident.  The highway would be shutdown for a day while a bomb squad inspects and detonates the bottle.   FIRE IN THE HOLE!
