i have a lincoln 180 (20) amp welder, and im trying to find the right generator for the welder. i dont have the money to buy a regular welding generator so what kind of portable gen. will work for me. i thinking something like at least 5000 with a 30 amp 240 plug any one out there with sugestions

Reply:Like Broccoli says, that will work.In the "Electrical" forum I recently posted a thread showing that my 50amp stick welder will work on similar genset, but with limitations.
