Snap-on Plastma cutter

It is a y-2240 that a friend is giving me.  I put a need tip, cone and all on the end but when I hook it up it will not cut.  If I touch the tip to the metal it will spark.  Any help would be great.  THANKS

Reply:Lets start with the obvious, you have the ground attached to the work piece? you did put a insulator between the electrode and tip right? you have air or nitrogen hooked to it right? the metal is not so rusty that it will not make a connection? always start with the basics

Reply:I put all new consumables in it with the air hooked up to it.  I will try it back out tomorrow and post back.  Thanks for the replys.
