I have an old welding mask that was my dad's. It's steel I assume with a small window. Is there any way to change out the glass in this thing? Getting rid of it is not an option since he passed away a few months ago. Would like to keep it "alive" and use it when I get a machine. Sorry I can't give any info on it but can look at it tomorrow for more details. Is this something I can do or maybe a local welding shop? Any info will help me.
Reply:That's not much information. It should be able to have the lens replaced...If you post a picture of the outside & the inside where the lens is located I'm sure you'll find someone that can help.
Reply:Likewise. Every helmet I've dealt with, you can change the lenses. If you know the make and model, post the info, otherwise post a picture. In every helmet I've worked with, it was a simple process swapping the protective lense over the tinted one out! |
