Hello everybody I need some help I recieved a blue print that asks to weld material astm A350 LF2 to material astm A694 F60 and it says to use weld procedure to ASME 9 could anybody explain this procedure to me please

Many materials carry both, as they can be used for both, though there may be different allowable conditions."Only materials adopted for use by ASME for code construction are permitted to be assigned P numbers.S numbers are assigned to materials that are acceptable for use by the B31 Code for Pressure Piping (or by selected code cases) but which are not included within ASME B&PV Material Specification Section IIHope that helps,Regards,BB |
