Source for metal scrolls???

We were at a wedding Sat and my daughter wants me to build a small version of the metal candelebra that was used.  It was made with 1/2 bar scrolls (heavy) shaped like "S" welded together.  Each was about 8ft long!  My daughter wants me to build her a smaller version of one to mount on her mantel.   I found some scrolls at decorativeiron.com that look like they would work, but most were 1/4 x 9/16 wide.  I was thinking more of 1/8 x 1 or 1.25 wide.  Any idea where I could buy something like this or should I just buy a metal bender and go to it with my own stock?  I've never used a bender and don't know how easy it is to make 10 scrolls uniformly..............   I'd also like to incorporate her initials in the pattern, but don't know how hard letters are to make in a bender (or if there are instructions included.)Thks,Ron

But it takes practice, its not automatic.Blacksmiths do scrolls and letters hot, with just a vise, an anvil, and a hammer- but again, the operative word is practice.
Reply:Pick you up a bender, I get catalogs everyday i think from these companies selling various benders.  If you are into metal working then i think once you start playing with the ornamental stuff and see what you can do its hard to get away from.  You can get scroll benders fairly reasonably if you look around.  Not sure where you are at but if you can't find what you need I will be glad to bend you some and send them to you for the price of materials and shipping but if you aren't close you probably can find someone closer that could do it for you just the same.  Good luck.  ~Jackson
