Having a good "toe"

It seems that a good toe is a sign of a good weld. Is technique or welder setup the key? Wire speed, Volt setting.Vern
Reply:I would say yes to both. You can correct a bit of either poor technique or poor settings with the other, but there's only so much you can do. If your settings are too cold, technique won't change the toes that much. Also if your heat is right and you move too fast, you'll still have issues..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:Hay Thanks, great stuff ! I've had welders for a long time. I have unproved, but a great weld, I have not.That's why the Lincoln 200 amp AC/DC is out and the Meg welders are in 2004. Now I'm thinking, the meg is out SP135 Plus, SP175 Plus is out and the Passport is in. The Passport will fit the Hypertherm 30 perfect.Vern
