Just finished My hanging meat bbq. Uses 10 -12Ibs of briquettes, and you hang the meat on the top bars with hooks. We used 4 barrels for a crew bbq at work. Cooked 2 cases of pork ribs from Costco in about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs., 10 to 12 sides of ribs to a barrel. Attached Images
Reply:Also you use the middle bars to set a grill grate to catch any meat that falls, does not happen all that often. Use the upper of the two middle holes to bbq a turkey in a tray. Bottom holes are vent holes. Total cost was around $20.00, Barrel free, disc free, Rebar $8.00, Paint $12.00, hooks freeMore Pics Attached ImagesLast edited by Ratdawg; 04-27-2006 at 11:24 PM.

Reply:Whats with all these pits with propane   bunch of cheaters
Reply:Ratdawg I forgot to ask you how does it cook?. what did you make your plate from?RubenZ I make them to what customers want, and out here in the west with dry conditions and a total fire ban for a big part of our Summer propane seems to be the go.I am however soon going to make one for myself and will make it able to be either propane or wood.I have checked out a few US BBQ sites and boy you guys take your pits serious if I could build one half as good as some I have seen I will be cook'n.Simonhttp://members.optusnet.com.au/~abba/index.html

Reply:We use those plow discs to cook on. I have been looking for a couple. Can you let me know where you got them, or if you have a few you may want to sell. Thanks,Tony
Reply:Tony, I went down to my local tractor supply and they had a used one that was laying around and gave it to me no charge. They cost around $20 to $30 dollars. If I ask around I might be able to get one from a local farmer.
