Reply:Good luck on your invention.I don't want to burst your bubble but patent pending means that the granting of the patent is pending the research required to see if anyone else came up with the idea first.  Until you are issued a US patent number you do not own the patent or idea.Neil

Reply:It doesn't matter how they wrote up anything.  When a patent is pending it is pending the research to make sure nobody has that design in the library.  Of course you were issued a number and if they come back and say Joe Shmoe filed the patent in 2003 then your patent will be denied even thow you have been issued a number for the pending patent.  You should really talk to your lawyer before saying that people are wrong that have dealt with this before.Neil

Reply:You don't seem to understand what pending means.  Look it up.  You don't have to post anything.  It's an English word that is found in all dictionaries.Neil
Reply:Alright Gentleman, since obviously this discussion is going nowhere can we please just agree to dissagree.  Neil, you may have experience with this, but its Zap's deal.  If he is right and all is fine for him. If hes wrong, well you know what they say.  Most importantly you made your piece and he his.  Its his money and there is bound to be a lot involved if what Harv is saying follows for all.    Anyway, I know feathers have been ruffled but I really think y'all make better arguements when you are agreein than when you disagree     Here have a   on meOne   for ZapOne   for FallenIF it Catches...Let it Burn

Reply:One of the nightmares that inventors have is about having the idea, getting it patented, get the marketing going, and then, someone comes up with a simpler and better way. One of my friends-clients is a great attorney.  Him and some buds invested six figure money into a great idea.  It was patented and seemed like the cat's meow. What it involved was removing floor tiles at a store and replacing them with a framework with a clear face.  That way ads could be put into the floor by the product.  The store could actually get revenue from the floor space as well as the shelf space. You don't see those anywhere.  But you do see the vinyl signs that go on the floor don't you?The inventor had a great idea, take advantage of dead space and make it a source for revenue.  He just didn't take it to the ultimate design, disposal vinyl signs.Every time I have an idea I want to pursue I remember that story.  And then I do everything I can to design down.life is good
Reply:Well i have no idea what any of this means..  so i guess im just gonna stick with:  From what i can see/tell, sounds like a pretty cool idea.  But im not sure if what i think it is, is what it really is.. lol.  Anywho.. good job getting the patent and all..
Reply:well yesterday i sent fisher a e-m with the pics and the idea..they got back to me this morning..they liked it and sent the idea to their marketing division... keeping my fingers crossed......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
