Ti tig Pics

This is a bit of welding im doing currently I figured i would share em with ya'll this is titanium gr.1 40cfh gas at the cup 60cfh on the purge bar or backing bar which ever you prefer to call it .using miller maxstar 300 with large gas lense #12cup 1/8 inch tungsten ceriated 165amps and go like hell bottom bar that im welding too is 1/2inch square and the corrigated panel is .028 Attached Images

Reply:Those are anodes for an electrical power plant there going to china i believe I'll take some pics of them completed this is just one step in the process only have 2000 to build thats 8000 of those panels thats just one panel in the pic. oh and its also welded on the other side of the panel as well.I got plenty of welding too do

Reply:very impressive, I do alot of Ti welding myself and I must say that is some very nice work. I am suprised you are not getting any warping welding both sides of the .028 corrigated panel, Those look like continuous welds, can not even tell where you stopped and started ( or did you?)
Reply:oh there are stops and starts there about every 4 or 5 corrigation but i prefer to hide them as well as i can thanks for the complement I try my best some day i'll make a halffast welder still got a long way to go though.Txredneck I had that happen to me last yr.I know what your talkin about there

Reply:littlefuzz it takes almost an hour and a half fitting it up and welding one we got another order for these panels to do this fall. Sure is hard on the hands all that in out in out of them corrigations.
Reply:Does anyone have use for 2 pieces of Titanium that are about 12 inch by 12 inch by 1/4 inch? I bought them for a project this guy wanted and then backed out of. I have been tugging these pieces around for about 10 years now. they still have the grade markings in ink on them from the original manufacturing location. I don't need them. And I don't do titanium anymore. You can have them if you want to pay for the shipping. Reply:good job  the more i see the "itcher" i get to get my tig machine up and running.. i should see the gas mixer i won off e-bay early next week.. i'll keep everyone posted......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
