Can you beat this work of art??

I was browsing around work today and was standing on a platform thats 12' in the air. I was looking at some stupid idiot putting his hand in this machine below me that is turning at 3500rpm (the bed of this machine goes in a circle and is 30" across) so its pretty fast. Well, something caught my eye that was just truely fascinating, (yea, the guy sticking his arm in this rotating machine was of no concern now). I seen this leg that held one corner of this platform i was standing on. I think I said "You have GOT to be F#*@ing kidding me?" This by far, is the worst weld I have seen in a long time...and to boot, its to hold one corner of a 750# platform 12' in the air...and I was standing on it..I looked at it closer and knew who welded this piece of work. I asked to just make sure, and sure enough, the "Rocket Scientist" we have working for us that knows everything "including how to weld welded this piece of angle iron. (why its just angle iron I will never know) but anyhow...I showed the big man and said I would fix it, so thats what I get to do in the morning....but take a look at this masterpiece.... Reply:id drill a couple holes and bolt it together then get a marker and write down who welded it on the metal for everyone to see.
Reply:Yea, thats a good idea....but, I already told everyone ...This is the guy that on his resume said he welded on a submarine with a crackerbox welder..lol... Me and another guy when we get it down is gonna somehow attach it to his Jobox..lol

I turned and said, im fixing where someone had Diarrea and SHAT all over this angle iron Although my job at work isnt to weld, which, this person said he was gonna tell on me..this guy is 32yrs old and you think he was 12...anyways, the Boss Man came up and was observing (with hands on sides) asked how it was coming....told him it was done...he looked at the square tubing i put in the angle irons place, then at the weld....and said I should show the dumbass that welded it first how to weld..well, needless to say, "Timpon" thats what I like to call Tim...said, Yea, that sure is a pretty weld....what a moron...anyways, the world is safe now...well, at least here where we make Danimals yogurt bottles it is ....

Reply:Well I thought  I could beat that but I just looked at the coupons I used to weld my first verticle butt joint with and well, I guess I cannot beat that.   I mean I was in a welding class " Stick Welding 101 " and all they would teach us was " Flat Position ". I was bored and said " hey how hard can it be to weld verticle ".  So I hung two coupons verticle and proceeded to do the weld.Showed the instructor and he said " not bad ", pay for the next class and I'll show you how to do it better.My worse weld, my first verticle up, butt joint doesn't look THAT bad.  LOL
