Well, I want to get a shop started in my garage and I need to get the basics for a good weldin shot, 1) First need a good welder ( any suggestions) For as thin as 3/16s in. thick metal2)My first Project is going to be welding table. any suggestions as to what type of metal (angle Iron) or tubing3)I am getting some Necesities such as WElding jacket, mask, safety glasses, welding gloves any more suggestions?Sorry For so many questions, I have been welding in our school for 3 years and Their Machines and tools arent really up to date. Ty for ready and for help

Reply:What sorts of projects do you have in mind? 3 years in school welding should give you some idea what process you want, Mig, tig, stick so we don't have to sit and guess. Even if the machines are not new you should have some idea. You haven't narrowed down the field at all..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size.
