Well it seems word is getting around..Had another "Please fix this" casting come in today..Hi pressure power washer output valve..looked like it had only one problem when it really had two..Here it is still on the pump..This is what the customer thought was wrong..And when I flipped it over I found this..So cleaning commences..Remove o rings and its bath time..Now that thats clean lets get to it!!Clamp thusly..and continue next post.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Seeing that this only had water in it it was relativly "contaminatoin free"But when you try to weld something like this start at the thinnest end and work yourway to the beefy part..Now its Bridgeport time..(No wog820 had nothing to do with this one..)first we mill the top off so we can drill and tap the two "suspect" holes..They wanted me to weld them up but i said   I'll just drill and tap them for set screws..The little hole was drilled and tapped 10-32 while the bigger one was done 3/8-24..Now that I had to weld around where the cap screw that attaches to the pump goes you have to re-machine the landing..Secret....dont make the landing the original size..Go with a smaller end mill and sand down the O.D. of the cap screw just untill it fits..need all the help you can get in those areas..And there we have it!Re-attached and ready for action..I get all the fun jobs... ...zap! Reply:That looks awesome. So approximately how much would you say you saved the customer over buying new parts?
