i got a phone call last night from my uncle. he asks me "can you teach me to stick weld over the phone?" i asked him what the hell he was doing. he was trying to weld his fence posts wich have completely rusted through with a 110 stick machine he borrowed and he has 200 ft of extension cord running from the house to his fence. he didnt know what type of rods he had but said they were at least 1/8th. I laughed and told him he was going to have a few issues. he said he tried but couldnt get the rods to light. i asked what his settings were at just for a laugh and he told me he just turned the dial up all the way.
Reply:My guess is his next call to you will be 'can you come over and weld this for me?'....MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
Reply:If you can come up with a "weld over the phone" curriculum, I'd pay. Kinda like my coworker's son learning to drive over the internet.
