Reply:Hey, so that one breaks it up on the back stroke. No big deal.
Reply:Wow, needless to say, it never had much maintenance done to it. I love the puny little stingers done in triagle shapes on the sides. UGH !John - fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!- bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
Reply:Looks like that one was pieced out for extra dip capacity to start with. Teeth and frogs completely shot. I see the cutting bars on the sides were of the bolt on variety. I imagine that old bucket was just plain tired anyway. Bucket does all the digging, operator gets all the credit. Bucket comes apart, welder gets the blame . Operators' got it made. Nuttin is ever his fault.

Reply:that looks like some of the junk they bring me to fix. i did a bucket yesterday off a CAT 330 with the dog ears busted. i ran tractors for years and never had more than the side walls wear out. but never busted the buckets. the outfit im with now charges those repairs to the supervisors job as operator damage, this affects the sup's bonus money. they seem to be getting better."Retreat hell, were just fighting in the other direction"Miller Trailblazer 302, Extreme 12 VS, Dimension 400, Spectrum 375, HF 251D-1, Milermatic 251 w/ spoolgun Hypertherm 1000Lincoln sp 1702000 F-450 to haul it
Reply:Weve got a couple Hitachi's, a 450 and a 550. Couple years ago the operator was pulling up frost, and the welds on the stick right at the hinge decided to give. The only thing holding the rest of the stick on was the top piece of plate. Its not ALWAYS operator error!!!
