I recently acquired a set of KG 401 and 402 oxy/ace regulators for cheap and I'm hoping to find a manual and other general info about them and the company. Tried Googling the company name and model number but found nothing. Anyone know anything about them? Thanks in advance,Maine Cowboy
Reply:We have repaired over 500 regulators a month for the last 13 years and I have never heard of a KG401 / KG 402. Can you post a picture?Just guessing, they are more than like imported Victor copies, but a picture many help me identify them.JimOAdoctorwww.regulatortorchrepair.com
Reply:This is the Model 402, looks similar to the 401. Attached Images
Reply:K-G is listed in one of my welding books from 1912, so my guess would be teens or '20's vintage. I want to think they had a connection with Airco.....but in any event I think parts are non-existent. Hey OA Doc, got ant Oxweld W-1 Parts??-Aaron
Reply:Sorry, for the delay getting back to you. Moved and did not have internet at the new house, and have not had time to log in at work. Wow, those are really old. I might be nice to have them cleaned up for display, but parts are way past obsolete. Is the W-1 a welding handle?JimOAdoctorwww.regulatortorchrepair.com |
