Just wondering how many of you have actual pictures of yourself welding.I set the timer on my camera about 3 years ago while building up the end of a shifter for my farmall tractor.  I had just gotten my camera and was playing around with it.Let's see some action photos!!!!! Attached Images

Reply:I was invited to Hobart Welding Institute a few weeks back to take a crack at their "Welding for Non-Welders" course. Associate Publisher Sarah also participated, very certain she was going to light herself on fire with the oxy-acetylene rigs. This picture shows her on her third sample piece, and diggin' the action. (Note that she's not on fire.) Attached Images

Reply:PEF - are those CLEAR safety glasses while plasma cutting?  I edited your post to prevent new welders from getting the wrong idea. How you weld or grind in your home is okay but please don't post pics with bad taste in safety. I've seen WAY too many accidents because people are too lazy to walk across the room and lock out equipment, reach for a pair of safety glasses or run to the store to get a new set of steel toe boots. I hope you can understand my heart felt ideals for safety.
