So here is my idea. Don't go stealing it. You know the big beige KNACK boxes  and green Greenlee boxes and now Home Depot sells the orange Rigid boxes...the big open ones that you stuff everything into at a jobsite?I want to build custom ones that are built better and seal tight to keep the weather out better. Maybe have a trunk seal on the inside lip of the lid. And here is the kicker. I want to paint/powdercoat them PINK. Like Barbie Doll Pink. And with every purchase you get 5 t-shirts (think Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday). Each shirt has a picture of your custom tool box on the back that clearly shows the Billet aluminum Nameplate with YOUR name or Company name on it. The FRONT of the t-shirts will say "I put my tool in a tight pink box every night"Now who can't get with an idea like that? Reply:STOLEN!!!!  get a patent on it..then do it.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Get a trademark on it (not a patent). Luckily Trademarks are a lot cheaper than patents.Also get trademarks on any variation you can think of, like regular tool boxes, drawer tool boxes. If it takes off, you have the expansion of your idea covered.You also would need to REGISTER a copyright for the phrase on the shirt.I personally don't know that you would sell that many pink boxes (I would not want a pink one) but I bet a t-shirt with a picture of a pink box and the phrase would sell like crazy. You could sell the same box in other colors, just use the pink on your company trucks for advertisement.The few modifications you make to the tool box would not be patentable.Last edited by Bob Warner; 10-21-2006 at 11:22 AM.

Reply:i painted all my work tools , like saws and air guns pink when i was building houses. keep them from being stolen and made them easy to see from far off if they were. but like he said not many are secure enough to show off pink, although more women are entering the real work force all the time and would likely go for the pink box also.i would buy a pink box to stick my tool in.if i had the $$ i would steel it, so get to work and get them out there befor some one dose. Reply:Joker - I was looking up trademarks. Did you do anything with this? Just paint them normal but call them "the stinky pinky".  Make your logo pink with "stinky pinky" in black. Reply:So where did you find it? I googled it and came up empty handed.Stinky Pinky...that is a whole nother story. I worked for a company that recorded all the phone calls. This guy I was talking to didn't realize that I could hear him, I was on mute, but he was still audible. He was talking about some girls across the street...something about a Pink Stinky Twinky....anyhow, I got in trouble because I was laughing about it. Never had heard that term. so everyone else thought it was funny except my boss. The girls at work were goofing at a party one night and started mixing drinks. They got to pouring vodka into frozen pink lemonade...Guess what they called the drink? Right. Pink Stinky Twinkies. That was 15 years ago and all those girls still drink that.
