Here is my second project with the new HH187.It's a stand for a pneumatic paint shaker for work.Built with 1 1/4 x 1/8 angle, .030 solid wire & C25 gas.I was adjusting the settings to experiment, so I do not remember the exact setting for each weld. This is the bare frame finishedThis is the shaker sitting on itThis is it painted and installed.  (Construction adhesive and concrete screws)Next post for the weld close ups.Reece

Reply:Nice design Reece. Your welds look good to me, but I'm still learning. I was having problems recently getting consistently good looking welds and I thought the welder settings (wire speed, gas pressure, voltage) were incorrect. But I'm starting to realize that good looking welds have more to do with my technique, not the machine settings. Practice, practice, practice!I'm sure a more experienced member will be along shortly to critique your welds. Reply:I like your fit up.  With fit up like would make welding easy.  Practice on a piece of scrap, then make consistent welds.  You have a couple of really good looking welds.  I does look like you were tuning your machine as you were in fabrication. The stand looks good.  Listen for fryin' bac'n.
Reply:Northazman,Nice looking work on fit up and design.  One question are you pushing or dragging the nozzle?  Solid wire should be pushed in direction or travel.  Nice welds can be had if you make one continuous weld around the corner of the angle iron.  While you hold the same nozzle angle around the corner.  Keep practicing.  Try not use $10.00 worth of time on $.10 job!!Miller Bobcat
Reply:a lil more heat would be good. but looking to be off to a good start. summer is here, plant a tree for mother earth. if you dont have time or space, sponcer some one else to plant one for you.feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail me at [email][email protected] i got lots of time.
Reply:Very nice stand. I wouldn't bother to paint it- first accident with the paint shaker bolted to it... and it will paint itself!!!

Reply:I like it!Next time..A little less wire..A little more heat..And try to clean the outer "crust" off the weld area..You'll see a big diffrence ...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
