Reply:Hey, if you are gonna post pics of your truck engine, then let me jump on the bandwagon. Here is my 82 Chevy C-30 Crew Cab Dually engine swap (had a 6.2l diesel, swapped in a 454ci gas guzzler. Had to install the billet aluminum serpentine pully conversion cuz I couldn't find any stock setups locally. So then it snowballed into billet alum. valve covers my wife picked out. Also threw in a GearVendors Overdrive. Now I have a 6speed trans.Last edited by MicroZone; 06-05-2007 at 01:53 PM.Lincoln Power Mig 210MP MIGLincoln Power Mig 350MP - MIG and Push-PullLincoln TIG 300-300Lincoln Hobby-Weld 110v Thanks JLAMESCK TIG TORCH, gas diffuser, pyrex cupThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 101My brain

Reply:Not a work truck. Mama bears daily driver. The diesel had over 300,00 miles on it and it was REALLY tired. It never left me stranded, but it sure left me frustrated. I was tired of diesels at the time and I wanted something with more grunt that I could work on. I am not a diesel guru. The project got out of control and she doesn't drive it anymore. We only use it to pull the boat to the river and the atv's to the trails. Other than that it sits in the driveway.Lincoln Power Mig 210MP MIGLincoln Power Mig 350MP - MIG and Push-PullLincoln TIG 300-300Lincoln Hobby-Weld 110v Thanks JLAMESCK TIG TORCH, gas diffuser, pyrex cupThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 101My brain

Reply:*sigh* so outta my league. I know almost nothing about engines (well, apart from "oil goes here, gas goes here, other fluids go here!") but I had the pic kicking around, so what the hell! Not pretty, not a diesel, clearly stock but it does the jorb! Last edited by mb_welder; 06-06-2007 at 01:56 AM. |
