Well most will not probably be familiar with what this is or what purpose it serves, I thought I would post it step by step. When finished it will be a sled used to pull supplies into a deep mine. Particularly rock dust, which is used to eliminate coal dust which is flammable. So here it is, first step- cut a 45 degree angle on the runners so it can be pulled easily along the roadway underground. Step 2- square up both runner on the table using the 3,4,5 method. ( which by the way I learned from one of you guys) thanks. Step 3- tack in the support beams that we made using our bender. The two end ones have a square side and a 45 degree side. All of the others have two 45's on them set on 2' centers. Step 4 -tack the 4" channel onto the cross supportsStep 5- notch the end cross supports for the tow eyes, hand cut with O/A torch out of 3/4" material. Tomorrow I will tack on the other tow to the other end and add 1/4" steel tread plate to the top surface. Also I have to fabricate some sort of tie downs to be welded down the sides, onto the 4" channel. I'm actually building two of these at the same time. Thanks for taking the time to look. Any suggestions and/or questions or comments will be greatly appreciated.
