What effect will it have if I go from a diod that rated at 100 amp 300v to on thats rated at 150amp 800v?
Reply:You can use them, if they fit mechanically, but don't expect your welder to have an increased capacity because of this. The other components of the welder won't be able to handle an increased current load. It would also not be the best idea to only replace one. You should replace the whole set so that they are matched thermally as well as electrically. Reply:Should make no difference , just less likely for that one to blow out.
Reply:a diode doesnt hav capacitance does it , mor like a one way valve with resistance i think        thermal arc 252i  -  millermatic 350P -   miller XMT, cp300ts, 30a 22a feeders, buttload of other millers, handfull of lincolns, couple of esabs  -   Hypertherm 1250 G3
