I was woundering if anyone has any sugggestiong on how to build a coffee brewer?
Reply:actualy was considering doing one myself.I would salvage the heat plate and controls from a store bought cheapie but make the water sump and filter holder from glass or a mix of glass and stainless.look around for science or lab supplys for a buchner funnel if ya plan on using flat bottom filters or a regular glass funnel for the cone shaped ones.pump wise the easy way is to salvage one along with the controls and plate but im sure theres a small stainless pump out there on the internet somewhere (havent got that far yet).Im trying to peice one together with no plastic anywhere in the system but thats just a hangup up as im a coffaholic(hmm now that i think about it I may be able to remove a pump altogether by making a micro stainless boiler and routing the steam into a closed water resevoir...would heat the water and push it into the filtering system at the same time)Jason
Reply:cool, thanks I just thought up a design its ok though. theres a steel dowle in the middle with three cups the top one swings over a burner and boils with the coffee and water then it spins to a second cup and fillters there thourgh a small fillter and then down to holding cup where it waits to be poured and drank.the holding cup will have a small burner at a very low temp. when its done i'll send the fourms the photos!MY Shop Gear::1: a rock and string2: glass bottle and gas3: old remote and batteries4: metal taped together5: ripped shoe6: smash anphibious water craft
