who had used this wire ? i am trying to find a all purpose(multipass) fluxcore wire .30 avalable in 2lb spools for a 110v machine, i have used hobart wire before but wasnt quite sure waht it was, i have also used esab and man did that stuff suck,i need a wire that is good for gauge material and for multipass on thicker stuff. something that the slag is easily removed, and as little spatter as possible, i can dream right
Reply:http://store.weldingdepot.com/cgi/we...1TGS0xx02.htmli ordered a spool of it, havn't used it yet though, i am using a spool of campbell hausfeld e71t-gs i picked up from walmart in a pinch, works very good so far after using about half of it.StangnetShop Full Of Stuff. Joey
Reply:I have ran quite a bit of 21B and it works fine or I should say as fine as a self shielded wire can work. If you want something with little spatter I would stick with a dual shield wire. Good luck.
Reply:Sorry didn't see the part about the 110 machine so I guess the dual shiled is out of the question unless someone makes it in .030".
Reply:I have used quite a bit of the Fabshield 21b in .030" and .035" in my HH175. It has worked well for me. The lightest material I welded with it was 16ga 3/4" square tubing. The heaviest was 3/4"plate. TSC has sales on it once in a while. I also get the 1# spools given to me by my local welding supply. A lot of the machines he sells are to people who have no interest in using flux-core and they don't take the wire that comes with the machines. I also have used the Lincoln NR-211 wire. Its pretty good too. I bought a 80 cu ft bottle with the machine when I bought it a couple of years ago and its still half full. Been through a lot of flux-core though.
Reply:New guy here.....I was told 21,b was a single pass wire ?  DLNDLN
Reply:DLN.............21B is a "multi-pass"  flux-core wire. GS is a "single pass" flux-core wire.
Reply:My dad uses selfshield in his MM130 and loves it, so it should be fine for a 175 or lower class machine. I know his is either miller or lincoln wire, he just picked it up at his local weld supplier. Hope i helped.Lean mean TIG weldin' machineSquarewave 175
