15 year old makes sward

My son was at my shop one day.  He asked me what I was going to do with a 13" x about 24" piece of 3/16" plate.  He cut it lengthwise, welded it back together and cut it into the shape of a blade.  He made a handle and welded it on.  It weighed 12 lbs.  Then he cut a couple of holes in it and the center handle. He also made the longer handle. (revision 1.0  )Yesterday he freehand drew center and cut it out with the plasma.  He ground it smooth, and went at it with a 36 grit sanding disk on a 4 1/2" grinder.Real world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
