can i purchase the aluminum welding rods from a local hardware store and weld an aluminum crank-case cover for a small engine with those rods or am i going to have to spend the 85.00 and have it tig or heli-arched? anyone have any idea's a local welder here said he would heat the case up with a torch and wire feed weld it! wow i don't believe that would work thanks for all ya'lls help i have a lincoln 225 ac welder but no clue as to what if anything i can do with thatLast edited by loudlarry; 10-04-2010 at 02:15 PM.Reason: adding more definition
