I just built a little air distribution block for my air compressor, so I can run some hard lines in the garage and not have so much hose all over the place.    I'm learning to TIG aluminum, so I welded some mounting brackets to it.    The block:  The first weld, I wasn't adding filler consistently at all:  The last weld, looked a little better:  You can kinda see the ripples, but no real 'stack-of-dimes'.  They seemed pretty strong, though.    Machine was a Syncrowave 200, AC 200 amps max, 3/32 Lanthanated Tungsten, 1/16 filler.  Not sure how many amps I was actually running.  What do you think?  Ok welds or how can i improve them?----phil
Reply:I would say there is plenty room for improvement. Just practice practice practice. You've got decent heat it looks like in the last picture. I would recamend either a larger filler or add more. Clean your base material too. Al love to be clean. --Gol'
