I took welding classes, but they had flowmeters, the Smith's (looks like single stage regulator/guage) sits around 30 lph.I have loosened the locknut and backed off the screw, but it doesn't go lower. The manual is sadly lacking in instructions on adjusting w/the supplied guage.Any tricks that I should know? Will this setup work for C25 or should I get another guage/flowmeter?TIA,Brad
Reply:Have you pulled the trigger to release the gas in the system? You usually have to set the flowrate with the valve open (turn the wirespeed all the way down and pull the trigger).
Reply:With C25 and your machine, the flowrate should be about 20.
Reply:Got it - Haven't welded for almost 2 years. After a couple passes it started coming back to me - I was welding 2X2X1/4. I stopped when I was able to go all the way around w/the welds looking good.I will practice some more before starting on my car rotisserie, but I'm feelin' pretty stoked right now. Metal is all cut to length, holes drilled, flashing removed and edges dressed. Thanks for the tips! |
