Hey everybody... Well, a week or two ago, I bought a victor firepower torch from our local tsc, and I love it. I like the feel, and how it handles, and that its the first new piece of welding equiptment I've bought. But, the other night, I was taking apart a horse trailer, just cutting away, and periodicly checking up on the oxygen supply. I glanced up and it read 500 pounds, and a few minuites later, I checked it and it was on zero. Everything was still going fine, so I decided to keep on going until I was just burning acetylene. I worked for another half hour and then stoppped when I got done with the job.So, my question here, is what's up with the regulator?? Is it normal for them to "drop-off" at a couple hundred psi, or is this one defective?? If its not going to get worse, I can live with it jusyt fine, but if this means somethings wrong with the regulator and I have to take it back, I need to know before my 30 days are up.Thanks guys :-)[Account Abandoned 8/8/16 Please Do Not Attempt Contact Or Expect A Reply]. Reply:Sounds like your gauge if it didnt affect the operation of the torch.

Reply:Sound like the high pressure gauge is no accurate.  What did the gauge read when the O2 cylinder was full? But even if it is out of calibration, it should not drop for 500psi to Zero that fast.Take it back and exchange it.OAdoctorwww.regulatortorchrepair.com
