Man it is handy having a TIG welder.  Nice simple project of adding an electronic governor to an Onan P220.  Never though I would need to weld the throttle control arm.But I did...An entire redesign was needed.  The stock card (not much left of that now ) attached to a governor control arm that had a travel direction opposite of the new one Also the new system only has 3/4" travel, so attachment placement was very important. Reply:I am still fine tuning the DROOP, but it works nice!  Electronic governors are common on larger gen sets, but do add $$ to the bottom line.  From no load - full load, speed it dead nuts on 2200 RPM (3600 at generator head) This unit is designed for larger engines and mounting the flywheel mag pickup was a Me!
Reply:Electronic is to Ferrari as mechanical is to Model T.
