i am building a cart for my TA 185, and i use the big bottle. what should the rear wheel base be for stability? i am going to use pneumatic wheels in back and 4'' casters in the front. the bottle will sit forward of the rear axle just a little. thanks. robert.
Reply:What size bottle are you using and how tall is your cart....this will need to be takin into account
Reply:the bottle is torpedo size, 10''x 5', and the shelf that the machine will sit on is about 36-42'' high.

Reply:I just built a cart for my TA-185 and cooler. It will hold an 80 (48") or 340 (60" X 10") Cf cylinder. I decided the same thing about using pneumatic tires. I had a pair of 8" solid (no flat) tires rated at 300 lbs each in my hand for $13.00 each and was looking at pneumatic tires for $6.00 each. I went with the solids because I didn't want my cart tipping over is one tire gets soft.DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:I used the pneumatic tire on mine as I had them on the first cart I built for my HH140....they have gotten low and needed air but never tipped over....you can pick them up @ HF on sale for $5 each......my cart holds a 160 of C25 and a 160 of argon with no problems.....it is 20" wide.....I'll post pics in a few min....Mike Attached ImagesLast edited by 84zmike; 02-10-2008 at 03:44 PM.
