Hi I am currently building a steam engine and need to know if its possible to fuse two or three pieces that will make up the steam chest by silver soldering or brazing together. They are small pieces about 1.0 inch square and closely fitted.I dont think welding is a good process here due to the size and intricasey of the parts.I appreciate any advice, thanks for taking the time.Johnny O

Reply:Here is a thought,( my two cents). As a welder I have friends in the machine shop profession. Could you not have the block or unit fabricated out of a single block, a small mill machine and a drill press does wonders. Then again perhaps some of the thrill of building would be lost. Have a great day.one good deed is worth a thousand good intentions |
